Bathroom Pictures

Okay, so it isn't completely finished - but pretty close to it! We have a shower and a toilet (and a floor)! Here are some pictures of the almost finished product

I wish I could say you were staring at the guy who did everything in this bathroom, but I got help when I needed it the most. My dad helped me with the toilet installation and together we got all of this done in a couple hours. It would've been another four hours if I did it by myself.
It took me three hours to lay the tile (I had a quite a few odd cuts to make with the saw) on Thursday afternoon. It's kind of tough talking to work folk and customers while I'm laying tile, but I managed. Thank goodness for headsets.
My dad has been able to help a lot along the way. I called him when I needed a question answered and he came over when he was able to fix some spots that I screwed up and couldn't get right. I also had help from a friend, Mike McLaughlin, with plumbing. I observed and assisted as Mike did the bulk of the plumbing work on the shower(I'm not screwing with that). Haw came over one night to asdsist with drywall, but I hung the dry wall so poorly that it had to be torn down. Haw couldn't help much throughout, because he had recovered from wirst surgery during the time he would have been needed the most...demolition. Destroying the bathroom was fun, but I made an f'n mess.
I will be quite happy when all is said and done. I've been totally zoned on this bathroom and work this month and it has made me miserable as hell. We've had to pay a little attention and make a few arrangements (and down payments!)for that wedding thing we have planned, too.
The bathroom will complete Phase I of our home remodeling. Phase II will include the dining room and kitchen. I don't think we'll have the money to start on Phase II until next year with all that is going on this year.
Oh well. We'll just start working on the front lawn and opening up the driveway. That should be something that can be done in one weekend. Stay tuned.
