NEWS!!

Well, we weren't going to say anything until we got our first ultrasound March 3rd, but I cannot keep this inside me any longer - I can keep other people'sx secrets well, just not my own! Especially something as joyous as this! If someone asks me "Are you pregnant?" or "when are you guys gonna start having babies?" it is going to be really hard to fib right now!! Plus, my cousin Shannon just sent an e-mail that her and her husband just took a home pregnancy test...most likely due the same time as us!!!

So, I am almost 5 weeks pregnant!! If most of you don't know, John and I had the misfortune of experiencing a miscarriage last March. We told everyone early - at about 8 weeks, and 2 weeks later we learned that the pregnancy was not viable and I had to have a D&C. We are hoping that was just a fluke thing and this time around we will be blessed!

My stance right now is that the worst thing has already happened to us and if this pregnancy fails, I am better equipped to handle it this time around.

I have to say to anyone who is just pregnant - DEMAND an early ultrasound at 8 weeks, it will save you the heartache of waiting until the end of the first trimester to be sure that your baby is healthy! This time around I will get one because I am considered "high risk", so as soon as we see that little heartbeat in a few weeks we know everything will be OK!! It's a shame that you have to be considered "high risk" to get extra medical attention. I guess it is an insurance thing...

So, please think of us and hope for the best! The expected due date of our little bundle of joy will be October 9th! I will keep you all posted of our progress.

Congratulations! I'll be praying for you.
I had an ultrasound with Rachel at 5 weeks and at 7 weeks (b/c I had been going to the infertility dr.) and at the 7 week U/S I saw her little heart beating! It was so amazing!
Maybe your baby will be born on Rachel's b-day (10/10) :)

Many congratulations from Sweden! We were just thinking to ourselves that it would be about time for you guys...since we get the same questions all the time after our marriage! Great news and you will be in our thoughts, hoping that everything turns out well!
